Information on the zurrieq.gov.mt web site conforms to guidelines designed to help easy navigation.

All pages are set up to allow access by versions of any browser ranging from IE3.02 and further as well as IE based browsers.

Navigation

Text navigation
Each of the zurrieq.gov.mt pages has a graphical navigation bar at the top and on the left hand side of each page respectively. A copy of the same navigation bar option are found at the bottom of each page as a text navigation.

The text links include a description box informing the user where the link will go. This can be viewed by placing the pointer over the line of text.


Site Specification

The zurrieq.gov.mt web site has been designed with all users in mind.

The standard outline guide for the site was for an SVGA resolution monitor (800 x 600) using 256 colours. The site is quite useable with specifications lower than this.


Browser Compatibilty

The zurrieq.gov.mt web site has been fully tested on a number of browsers on the majority of existing computer operating systems.

zurrieq.gov.mt uses Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) to format the textual information within each page. Only browsers from version 4 upwards fully understand CSS formatting.


Printing Pages

Any page can be printed from the web by the user selecting file, print from the menu option within Microsoft IE or Netscape. For Maltese Fonts to be printed correctly, the 'Print as graphics' option has to be selected from the printer's setup options.


Bookmarking Pages

To bookmark a particular page the user selects Favorites, Add to Favorites from the menu option within Microsoft IE or Bookmarks, Add Bookmarks in Netscape.


Searching

We currently index documents held on zurrieq.gov.mt.

To complete a search the user has to enter a word or collection of words into the text search box. Pressing the return key or clicking on the search button will present the user with a listing of documents which correspond to the search details. These results will be rated, the most complete matches will be listed first, decreasing in relevence as the user goes further down the list.


Submitting Feedback

zurrieq.gov.mt supplies a feedback form to give users an opportunity to voice their comments on the service.

Within the form there is a section for general comments on the zurrieq.gov.mt service in general, there is also a section for users to inform the Zurrieq Local Council of any problems they may be experiencing.

Once the form has been completed the user must click on the submit button at the bottom of the page. This will forward the information to the zurrieq.gov.mt service.

We cannot reply to every query but each one will be read and acted upon where necessary.


Saving Pages

Any page displayed on your browser can be saved to your local drive. Select File, Save as from the menu option within Microsoft IE and Netscape.


Information

Some pages within the zurrieq.gov.mt service are in other formats other than HTML or XHTML or PDF. These are MS Word documents, MS PowerPoint files and Printed Document Format. To read these files the user requires the MS Word, MS PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat V4 or higher software respectively.
